Activity for Sunday Feb. 7th

Just wondering if people would be interested in walking in downtown Chilliwack next Sunday around the time that the torch would be coming through? Might be neat to see it go by or be at the Prospera Centre to see it. What do people think?
I think it is coming through Chilliwack between 1-3. Below are links to the map and to the info from the city of Chilliwack.

  1. The Heinrichs are in! Sounds like fun. Any ideas where & when to meet?

  2. If Nolan's feeling better Sun, count us in! I thought it'd be a good idea to see the torch!! There's free swimming and ice skating as well. Apparently Canadian Tire has "skates" - ones that you just add to your childs shoes, and has 2 blades per foot.....I might try and see if I can pick Nolan up a pair.

Could you please pray for Nolan. He's gotten worse. He now has a sinus infection, and had a fever off 100.6 tonight. He's not himself at all - I pray he will get back to normal soon! I hope everyone is healthy! - Jen

  5. ALRIGHT....
The torch is going to be at the landing at around 2:15... we could meet there at 2:00, see the torch and then go for a walk around there. OR... we could walk over and around by the airport and see it come past around 3:15... what would work best for people?

  6. Exciting, I think the torch is having a ceremony at the landing, and there are some youth from church involved in that so I wouldn't mind seeing that.

  7. I have finally managed to read all the comments on this new blog! ...I am somewhat slow and technically challenged! ;) Yes we will be there to see the torch! Isn't Myles the torch bearer? It would be nice to support him, too. Jen we will be praying for Nolan. Is he doing better? Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, and him. Hugs to the little guy from us! -Laura

  8. The Abbotsford Rec Center (next to UFV) will be having nightmarkets and fun Zones during the Olympics - Thur and Fri 5-9pm, Sat 9-9 and Sun 12-9. It might be fun to check that out! I think we'll head to Abby to check it out - are others interested in going? Jen and Nolan
